Pool remodeling in Tempe

Tempe is home to Arizona State University and has little open land left, so most of its pools have some age on them. We remodel and repair them for owners who live there and owners who rent.

Most Tempe pools have years on them

Tempe is surrounded by other cities, so it can't spread out the way newer suburbs do. Most of its houses, and the pools behind them, were built decades ago.

Age shows up in places you can't see. A cracked skimmer can leak behind the deck for months, and fine cracks in the shell often appear once the old plaster comes off. We plan for both before we quote.

Rental pools need a finish that takes a beating

Many homes near ASU are rentals. A rental pool gets heavy use and uneven care, and plain plaster in a pool like that can roughen and stain early.

For a rental, a tougher finish like quartz or pebble can make sense. So can a waterline tile that's easy to wipe clean.

Tempe pool questions

Can't find your answer? Call (602) 550-8627.

I own a rental near ASU. Can you work while tenants live there?

The pool is out of use for the length of the job, and most remodels take 1 to 4 weeks. You get the schedule in writing before work starts, so you can plan with your tenants.

My Tempe pool keeps losing water. Is it the skimmer?

It could be. Older skimmers are a common leak point, and the crack is often hidden under the deck. We check it at the visit, and if it's failing we replace it as part of the job.

Is Tempe too far from your office?

No. We serve Tempe and the rest of the East Valley from our office at 8940 W Sells Dr in west Phoenix. The estimate is free and done at your pool.

What finish lasts in a pool that gets heavy use?

Quartz and pebble hold up better than plain plaster. Pebble lasts the longest of the three but feels more textured underfoot.

Can you redo just the tile?

Yes. If the finish still looks good, we can replace only the waterline tile. If the plaster is close to the end too, doing both now saves a second round of work later.

Do you offer financing for Tempe pools?

Yes. Lyon Financial offers financing on our remodels, so you don't have to pay for the whole job up front.

A free visit. At your pool.

Tell us what you'd like to change. We'll set up a time to meet at your pool and talk it through.
