Pool remodeling in Avondale
Avondale sits just southwest of our office in west Phoenix. Much of it was built out in the 2000s, and many of those pools are old enough for skimmers and finishes to show wear.

Cracked skimmers and slow leaks
The skimmer is the plastic box at the waterline that pulls in leaves and debris. After years of sun, pool chemicals and ground movement, it can crack or pull away from the shell. Then water slips out every day.
If you're topping off the pool more than usual, the skimmer is one of the first places to look. If you're resurfacing too, it makes sense to swap it first, so no one cuts into fresh plaster later.

Old Town Avondale and the newer subdivisions
Avondale's older streets, around Old Town, have homes from long before the 2000s boom. Pools there can need more work at the shell, like crack repair.
The newer subdivisions more often need a finish, a tile refresh and a skimmer. We check which camp your pool falls in before we price anything.

How do I know if my skimmer is leaking?
Look for cracks where the skimmer meets the deck, or a water level that drops faster than normal. A bucket test helps rule out plain evaporation. We'll check it at your visit.
Can you replace a skimmer without resurfacing the whole pool?
Yes. Skimmer replacement can be its own repair. If the finish is worn too, doing both at once saves cutting into a new surface later.
Do you serve the older homes near Old Town Avondale?
Yes. Older pools there may need crack repair along with a new finish. We look at the shell before we price the job.

My Avondale pool is from the 2000s. What usually needs work first?
At that age, it's often the finish, the tile line and the skimmer. We check all three and tell you which ones can wait.
My finish is sound but looks tired. Do I need a resurface?
Maybe not. Our Revival Package cleans the surface and adds a protective treatment. It's a good fit when the shell and finish are still in good shape.
