A pool shell prepared for repair and new finish

Structural pool crack repair in the Phoenix Valley

A crack in your pool's wall or floor can let water out and grow over time. We find how far it runs and fix it at the source, before any new finish goes on.

Ground movement and age crack pool shells

Soil that shifts under a pool can crack a wall or floor. So can age, and the steady push of thousands of gallons of water against the shell.

A crack that reaches the structure can let water out. Left alone, it can grow into a leak and a much bigger repair.

Signs you may have a structural crack

Some cracks are easy to spot. Others hide under the finish until the old plaster or pebble comes off.

Phoenix summers pull a lot of water out of any pool. That makes a slow leak easy to mistake for evaporation.

  • The water level drops faster than it should, even in mild weather
  • A crack in the wall or floor that gets longer over the months
  • Wet ground or soft spots near the pool that don't dry out
  • A crack that comes back in the same place after a patch

We repair the crack before the finish goes on

We check how far the damage goes, then repair the crack at the source to stabilize the shell. New plaster or pebble over an open crack just hides the problem underneath.

That's why crack repair is often the first step of a resurfacing or remodel. Once the shell is sound, the new finish has a solid base.

Structural Crack Repair questions

How do I know if a crack is structural or just in the finish?

Fine surface lines in plaster are common and often only cosmetic. A crack that leaks or keeps growing may reach the shell. We look at it on site and tell you which one you have.

Is my pool losing water from a crack or from evaporation?

In Phoenix heat it can be hard to tell. A simple home check is the bucket test: set a bucket of pool water on a step, mark both water levels, and check them after a day. If the pool drops more than the bucket, you may have a leak.

Can a crack repair wait?

A small crack can stay small for a while. But cracks in a shell can grow as the ground moves, and every week of water loss adds up. If you're not sure, have it checked before it spreads.

Do I need a new finish after a crack repair?

Often, yes. A repaired spot may not match the finish around it, and many cracks are found when the old finish comes off. We'll tell you if your current finish can stay.

How much does structural crack repair cost?

It depends on how long the crack is and how deep it goes. We look at it during a free on-site visit and write an estimate for your pool.

How long does a crack repair take?

It depends on the damage. When the repair is part of a resurfacing or remodel, it fits inside that project's schedule. Most remodels take 1 to 4 weeks, and you get the schedule before work starts.

Can I finance a crack repair?

Yes. We offer financing through Lyon Financial. That can help when a crack repair turns into a bigger job with a new finish.

Geovani was a super star to work with. His team came in and chipped, hauled and gave our pool a major glow up in record time! Three things come to mind when working with Geovani. 1. Customer satisfaction. We originally picked a tile and when we got it, realized it was not it. We picked a new one and were super pumped when it arrived. He handled the return and that process. He wanted us happy. It felt more than just replacing our pool. He cares about what you want! 2. His pricing and quality. Our pool surface is so smooth. No lumps, bumps and they even added our waterline tile in the steps. It’s a unique and beautiful pool. Can’t believe it’s ours! 3. Communication. I loved communicating in Slack. Genius! 10/10 would recommend. His reviews are legit and should we need his services in the future, we won’t hesitate to reach out. That also includes referrals! Attached before and afters. Aqua azul with coldwater tile for the waterline and we did do a bag of glass beads (had them apply more to the steps for that extra ✨ sparkle!).
